i meant to start writing at eleven
but i couldn't divine what words to say
so i got online and checked the twitter
the facebook reuters and hacker news
still i felt no fire so feeling bitter
i tried to decide a show to choose
perhaps a drama from bbc
or a sitcom from the early aughts
i picked and settled in for an ep or three
or four or five or one season tops
next thing i look up and night's descended
shit fuck goddamn it's happened again
another good day that netflix's upended
so i pray for forgiveness and bandwidth
